FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (Univ. of Ark.) – Linebacker Josh Williams has signed with the Arkansas football program and is scheduled to join the Razorbacks this summer as part of the 2014 signing class, head coach Bret Bielema announced Sunday.
Williams, who attended Dillard High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., played the 2013 season at Dodge City Community College in Kansas.
"We became aware of Josh while he was at Dillard, where he was teammates with Randy Ramsey," Coach Bielema said. "Josh was a full qualifier out of high school. He is a great addition to our 2014 class who can come in and be eligible to contribute immediately. We are looking forward to having him as part of our family."
Williams was an honorable mention all-conference performer in 2013 for the Conquistadors. He led Dodge City with 85 tackles, including four tackles for loss and 0.5 sack, and recovered two fumbles. His senior year at Dillard, Williams helped lead the Panthers to the 5A state playoffs while collecting 50 tackles, including 20 tackles for loss and six sacks, from his defensive end position. As a junior playing linebacker and defensive end, he collected 50 tackles, including three sacks.
