The Rangers are in their second season here in Little Rock and now this melting pot and begun to heat up the National Premier Soccer League. “Great wins against Dallas, CD FC, Wichita, and played really well against Tulsa.”
Little Rock’s own Will Montgomery has led these Rangers from all different backgrounds around the world to an undefeated record in the Heartland Conference and currently sit in second place.
Scotland native Robel Dent add “he gave me a lot of responsibility and he was also patient with me at the same time, so that gave me the space to be a bit more independent and confident.
And with confidence comes wins, and with wins comes fans.
“I love them, they come and give the support and they have their drums and they make noise and I love it, it’s a good environment.”
“What we want to do is establish a good strong fan base here and if we can get folks to come out on a Saturday or Sunday and come watch us play that encourages the players to perform better as well.”
They’ve not only encouraged better performances, they’ve encouraged another team in their inaugural season trying to build off the same success. The Ranger women’s team is in their inaugural season.
“Soccer is not very big here in Little Rock and now we have a women’s team and a men’s team it’s going to get bigger and bigger.”
