Razorback center Frank Ragnow to miss rest of season due to ankle injury

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) — Coach Bret Bielema announced on Monday that Razorback center Frank Ragnow will be out for the remainder of the season.

CBS affiliate 5NEWS reports that the senior suffered a severe high ankle sprain that could require surgery.

Bielema said in his weekly press conference that Ragnow should be ready to return for his pro day in the spring. Junior Zach Rogers will take over for Ragnow on the interior position.

Most scouts and experts regard Ragnow as the top center in college football.

Ragnow was named to nearly every award watch list in the preseason, including the Rimington Award, as well as a preseason first team All-SEC selection.

Arkansas is set to take on Ole Miss this Saturday at 11 a.m. on the SEC Network.
