Two years ago, when Think Like A Man was released I said it was "the funniest movie I've seen all year". Based on the lessons of comedian Steve Harvey's book "Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man" that followed a sampling of the different archetypes of men and women described in the book and how they meet and interact with each other.
Think Like a Man Too
returns the great core cast of Kevin Hart, Michael Ealy, Jerry Ferrara, Meagan Good, Regina Hall, Taraji P. Henson, Terrence Jenkins, Romany Malco, Gary Owen, and Gabrielle Union, with the addition of Wendy McLendon-Covey in what feels like a departure from its' predecessor.
Instead of a coupling romantic comedy we get something closer to a mix of The Hangover and Bachelor Party. Our couples are already together and are progressing at a modest pace in their relationships. They're brought together in Las Vegas for the weekend wedding of Michael and Candace (the momma's boy and the "older" woman) who are still dealing with Michael's meddling mother Loretta. Dominic and Lauren (the chef and the executive) are busy in their careers but still find time for their relationship to work, Jeremy and Kristen (the childish one and the one that wanted him to grow up) are trying to have a baby, Zeke and Mya (the player and the holdout) are still dealing with their relationship insecurities, and Bennett and Tish (the tall white guy and his equally plain wife) are just kind of there. Cedric is still Cedric. He has taken the role of best man to a whole new level with the rental of the best suite in the hotel and the promise of a huge party after the Bachelor party. Each couple (even Cedric) has their own issues that come up in the film but things go to a new level when the girls realize the boys' plans and decide to take it to a whole new level.
Think Like A Man Too
a very funny movie that really enjoyed but I didn't like it as much as
Think Like A Man
because it's a romantic comedy that revolves around situations instead of a romantic comedy that revolves around relationships but if you like Kevin Hart and the rest of this crew you'll like this film.
