LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Southern foods are not only tasty, but full of traditions! Southern Caviar is a dip that fits right in at a party and perfect for good luck.

Anthony Michael from Cross Eyed Pig stopped by "THV 11 News This Morning" to share with you Texas and Mississippi Caviar.

Texas Black-Eyed Pea Caviar

3 cans black eyed peas (drained)
2 jalapenos chopped
3 tomatoes chopped
3 cloves garlic chopped
2 avocados, chopped
1 green bell pepper chopped
1/2 bunch cilantro chopped
Zesty Italian dressing

Place ingredients in a large bowl. Add enough Zesty Italian dressing to get the consistency that you want for a dip. Add salt and pepper to taste. Refrigerate overnight. Serve with tortilla chips.

Mississippi Caviar

2 cans black eyed peas (drained)
1/2 each red, yellow, orange bell pepper (more if you'd like)
1 bunch green onions chopped
1 can rotel (drained)
1/2 bunch cilantro
1 cup grated Mexican cheese
Tony's Creole Seasoning to taste
1 tbsp crushed red pepper

Chop and drain all ingredients and put in a bowl. Add salt, pepper, Tony's Creole Seasoning to taste. Let sit overnight in refridgerator. Serve next day.
