LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - With winter time, I always think of warm foods and here's a great sweet treat that you can have with any meal.
And it's called Nana's Cinnamon Apples. It's actually my sister-in-laws grandmother's recipe. They make it every year and it's rather simple.
Here's the recipe:
•½ cup brown sugar
•¾ cup granulated sugar
•3 tbsp flour
•2 cups warm water
•One bag cinnamon Red Hot candies
•Apples, cut into halves or smaller pieces
Mix all of these ingredients in a bowl. Add in the Red Hots to give it the little spicy cinnamon taste. Then you just take any type of pan that you can put in the oven. Pour your mixture over the sliced apples
Next, put it in the oven at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes and enjoy!
