LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Reindeer won't be the only four-legged friends accompanying Santa this holiday season as the Friends of the Animal Village and the Oxford American magazine host the first annual Santa Paws Cocktail Party benefitting the Little Rock Animal Village, at 7:30 p.m., Dec. 7.

Santa Paws festivities will be held at the Oxford American, 1300 Main Street in Little Rock. Tickets are $30 a person and can be purchased on-line at www.friendsoftheanimalvillage.org.

Santa Paws promises to be an unforgettable evening complete with holiday drinks and hors d'oeuvres, entertainment and the opportunity for guests to have their photos taken with Santa and furry friends from the Village, the city's animal shelter. Photos with Santa will be courtesy of Bedford Camera & Video. Santa Paws guests will enjoy an assortment of desserts courtesy of Sweet Love Bakery and have the chance to win fantastic prizes from local artists and sponsors, including James Hayes, Bourbon & Boots, Bella Vita Jewelry and many more. Thanks to the evening's sponsors, 100% of proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the animals of the Little Rock Animal Village.

The Oxford American is a national magazine dedicated to featuring the best in Southern writing while documenting the complexity and vitality of the American South.

Friends of the Animal Village is a volunteer organization that provides supplemental support for the Little Rock Animal Village. The group accepts donations and hosts fundraisers for the shelter throughout the year in an effort to raise awareness about the Village, increase adoptions and improve the quality of life for animals housed there.
