Little Rock's new Animal Village, a 7500+ square foot state-of-the-art facility is under construction at 4500 South Kramer Street, just off University Avenue and First Tee Way. It is the answer to many hopes and dreams of the city and its citizenry for an animal shelter that offers both clean, comfortable facilities for animals and an easy-to-access, welcoming atmosphere for people.

Food - Purina only Towels for bathing animals Toys - Plastic only Funded by a voter-approved capital improvement bond allocation, a state-issued grant, and donations from animal lovers and ongoing fund-raisers, the building features an interactive corridor that leads to special sections for viewing adoptable animals either on-site or by computer search for just the right family pet. Additional features include outdoor runs for dogs, intake and quarantine areas to separate sick pets from adoptable ones, and additional plans for a dog park, a special cat playroom, a protected outside drop-off area, as well as an "education center" to teach responsible pet ownership.
