ISTANBUL, TURKEY (CNN) -- This guy is showing off a new tool to help people who can't walk. It's called the Tek Robotic Mobilization Device, or RMD.
Scientists in Turkey developed it to paraplegics stand on their own two feet.
It wheels them around, much like a Segway transporter. The developers say this is different than other devices on the market, because the user doesn't need help to get in it and move.
Beyond giving users a level of independence they might not have with wheelchairs, it can also help with basic health needs.
Spending much of your life sitting down, can put a patient at risk of heart disease and pressure sores.
The RMD goes on sale in Turkey this week and costs around $15,000 U.S. dollars.
