SACRAMENTO, Calif. (CNN/KOVR) -- A group of kids is preparing to represent Sacramento in an unusual sport in the Junior Olympics. This is the first year speed stacking will be included at the Junior Olympics.

In speed stacking, players stack and un-stack a dozen plastic cups in pre-determined sequences.

The Junior Olympic Games take place in Houston, Texas in July and August.

The Sacramento group hopes to raise $10,000 in the next few months to help pay for the trip.
