GREENBRIER, Ark. (KTHV) - Students in Faulkner County are preparing to make history for the community of Greenbrier by holding a student-led candidate forum.

The forum is set for Oct. 15and has agoal of informing the community before voting in November.

Greenbrier chamber ambassador Verna Higgins says, "As you know, our county sheriff's race has been interesting and with so many county seats up, along with State House and Senate seats, and a Congressional seat this year, we will have 12 races represented with Democrat and Republican candidates for 10 of them."

Higgins says the Greenbrier School District and the Greenbrier Area Chamber of Commerce have worked with civics students. These students will be asking the "tough questions."

The public is invited to attend the event at the Greenbrier Schools Fine Arts Auditorium on Oct. 15 at 6:30 p.m.
