LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Immanual Baptist Church of Little Rock will hold a special service to honor all First Responders in Arkansas.

"These are the men and women who daily lay aside concerns about their own well-being to protect our lives, our property, and our health, and who serve with little or no recognition," said Dr. Gary Hollingsworth, senior pastor. "When I hear from our own members who are first responders about the peril they face on every call, but also about the many positive outcomes that result, I believe the least we as citizens can do is say a public 'thank you.'"

The service is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 14th at 6:00 p.m. Hollingsworth said all first responders are invited to participate and stay for a reception for them and their families following the service.

The public is also invited to attend and a nursery will be provided. The church is located at 501 North Shackelford Road in Little Rock.
