LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - More changes are expected for the Big Rock Interchange (I-430 and I-630 in Little Rock), and motorists should prepare to alter their travel routes next week.

According to the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD), Tuesday, Nov. 13 through Friday, Nov. 16, travelers will encounter temporary lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Financial Center Parkway and Shackleford Rd. inside the Big Rock Interchange construction zone.

Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes during those days.

AHTD said they will reduce travel to one lane at times in each direction, and the closures are necessary for road crews to finish paving new sections that will tie into the future I-630 overpass of Shackleford Rd.

This is the first of several phases the workers will complete the construction work in time for the holiday travel season.

THV 11 will release more information on other upcoming phases as it becomes available from AHTD.
