LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Nov. 10, 2012) - It started off as three guys in a backyard arguing over who had the best barbeque and now theB Street Rib Off is celebrating its 5th year.

The eventwill take place today, November 10th at MacArthur Park in Little Rock and will feature a BBQ cooking competition that includes ribs, chicken and side dishes.

The public is invited to come out, starting around noon, tojudge the side dish competition for a $5 donation. Event organizers expect to donate over $1,500 to the American Cancer Society after the event.

The B Street Rib Off, a nonprofit organization, was founded in 2008 by Jason Brown, Justin Hinton and Matthew Ross as a friendly competition to establish the best rib cook in the group.

"It feels great to reach this point. We knew that we had enough interest to make this a philanthropy event and we finally did it," said Ross. "We had a goal of reaching the nonprofit status by the 5th year and we're excited to have reached that goal early."

THV 11 News'sown Ashley Blackstone will serve as a celebrity judge.
