FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KTHV) -- LSU wins Battle of the Boot as the teams faced off in Fayetteville forthe first time since 1992. The final at Reynolds Razorback Stadium was20-13.

Costly turnovers in the first quarter proved to be the downside for Arkansas as they lost at home on Friday. Dennis Johnson fumbled on the Hogs' opening drive inside the 5 yard line. On Arkansas' next possession, Tyler Wilson threw an interception.

Just before the half, LSU looked to extend their 3-0 lead. Tiger quarterback Zach Mettenberger found Jarvis Landry in the back of the endzone for a 22 yard touchdown.

Mettenberger passed for 217 yards, completing 16 out of 29 passes. That pass to Landry was his only touchdown of the game.

Tyler Wilson was a little more pass happy, throwing for 359 yards on 31 of 52 passes. He also had one touchdown, and that costly interception in the first quarter. Wilson led the Hogs in rushing yards with 38 yards on nine carries.

Arkansas' Cobi Hamilton set the school record for receptions in a career with 175. He finished the game against LSU with 98 yards on 10 catches. Behind Wilson's 38 yards rushing, Knile Davis had the second most yards rushing with 31 on seven carries.

Arkansas falls to 4-8 on the season, 2-6 in the SEC.

LSU (10-2, 6-2 SEC) reached double-digit wins for the sixth time in eight seasons under coach Les Miles.

LSU must now hope for an Alabama loss to Auburn and Texas A&M victory on Saturday in order to reach next weekend's SEC championship game. Even without a division crown, the Tigers could still get an at-large bid to the BCS.
