CONWAY, Ark. (KTHV) - Two suspects remain in custody, pending charges against them, after a Monday morning armed robbery on the University of Central Arkansas campus.

A pressreleaseissued from UCA Police Dept. states that a female UCA student reported being held up at gunpoint about 9:30 a.m. at the Torreyson Apartments on campus. She and a witness, who was with her, gave police a description of the suspect and his vehicle. With that information, officers were able to locate it at a home in the 400 block of Ash St.

When police arrived, one suspect came out of the house immediately. Two more refused to exit the residence until SWAT officers arrived. The final two suspects did not exit the house on their own; officers went in and arrested them. The five suspects, none of them UCA students,were taken to UCAPD for questioning. Three of them were released while officers continue investigating. The remaining two are being held pending charges.

No shots were fired in the robbery or the standoff, and no one was injured in either incident. Conway PD, UCA Police, and SWAT worked together onthis situation.

UCA police said about 10:01 a.m.,the police departmentissued an emergency notification message via the UCAAlert system. It notified the campus community about the robbery and provided a description of the suspect. A second notification was issued about 11:41 a.m. to advise the community that the suspects were in custody.
