Less than two weeks after earning the title, the world's oldest woman has died.

Dina Manfredini was born on April 4, 1897, and emigrated from Italy to Iowa in 1920. Guinness World Records recognized her as the world's oldest living person on Dec. 5, after the previous oldest person died at age 116.

Her family says she passed away at an Iowa retirement center on Monday. Dina was 115 years old.

The Spoerle family got an early Christmas present on Sunday. Chief warrant officer Eric Spoerle surprised his three sons at the Houston Texans game.

He's been serving in Afghanistan since May, and couldn't wait to get out of the gift box. He says, "Oh man. I didn't know how long I was going to be there. It just couldn't open up quick enough to see the family."

Spoerle's wife was in on the surprise, but says keeping it a secret from her kids was the hardest part.
