LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- It's that time of year, when all kinds of resolutions are made for the New Year. And this morning, we have a reminder that could save your life.

We're joined by Raygan Sylvester, a North Little Rock High School Junior who's hoping you'll make it your New Year's resolution to Think SAFE (Seatbelts Are For Everyone).

Her brother was in a serious car accident where the "jaws of life" had to be used to get him out. Raygan says his seat belt is what saved his life.

Her and her program Think SAFE recently got a grant from State Farm for $2,500 to help Raygan conduct safety programs in area elementary school to get kids thinking about their seatbelts and safe travel while they are developing habits. She also hopes to provide safety seats for teenage mothers.

Raygan wants everyone to know:

1. Always wear your seatbelt
2. Don't text and drive
3. Obey the state's Graduated Drivers Licensing law
