LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - A man walked into the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office for personal business, but the strong odor of marijuana got him more than he bargained for.

According to Lt. Carl Minden, Leotis Rodgers, 31, of North Little Rock, was arrested outside of the Sheriff's Office after a records clerk noticed a strong smell coming from him.

Minden said a deputy followed Rodgers outside and told him about the smell that emanated from his person and truck. He went on to say that Rodgers then admitted that he had "smoked a blunt" before entering the sheriff's department, and he had a scale and a small amount of marijuana in the console of his truck.

Inside the truck was a large plastic baggie with fourteen smaller baggies containing marijuana inside, said Minden.

Rodgers was placed in custody for possession of marijuana with the purpose of delivery and possession of a controlled substance within close proximity to certain facilities.

Rodgers posted $10,000 and awaits a trial.
