LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- THV Film Critic Jonathan Nettles on what's new in theaters and a few Oscar picks.
It's Oscar weekend and while the focus is on the Best Picture nominees, there are still a couple of movies hitting theaters.
Snitch stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as a father whose teenage son is wrongly accused of drug dealing and is facing a prison sentence of 10 years. Desperate to keep that from happening "The Rock" makes a deal with the U.S. Attorney to work as an undercover informant and infiltrate a drug cartel. Snitch is based on true story, but I'm not sure how accurate it is. If they make a movie about something that I'm involved with, I think "The Rock" would be the obvious choice to star in it.
Dark Skies is a Supernatural thriller from the producer of Paranormal Activity that follows a family living in the suburbs. The family falls victim to a series of disturbing events and as their home life unravels, they learn that they have been targeted by an unimaginable force.
