TEXARKANA, Ark. (KTHV) - Officer Kristi Mitchell with the Texarkana Police Department said a man was deceived by a female acquaintance he was picking up.

Mitchell said when Miranda Steitler, 31, of Texarkana, came out to the man's car for a ride, an accomplice slid into the back seat of the car with a gun and ordered the man to drive them to a carwash in the city. She said both Steitler and the second suspect then robbed him of his wallet and took off with his car.

Steitler was later arrested and charged with aggravated robbery and kidnapping, which are both felonies.

Mitchell said a second person in Steitler's company was also taken into custody on unrelated charges and for questioning. His involvement in this incident is currently unknown.

This case is still under investigation, and anyone with information is encouraged to call the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department at (903) 798-3154 or Texarkana area CrimeStoppers at (903) 793-STOP.
