PINE BLUFF, Ark. (KTHV) -- NFL scouts traveled to Pine Bluff Monday for UAPB's 2013 Pro Day.
Several UAPB Golden Lions showcased their skills for the scouts. Players performed various strength tests in the UAPB weight room. Those players and scouts, then traveled to Pine Bluff High School to run the 40 and other speed drills on the turf surface there.
NFL teams scheduled to be in attendance included the Miami Dolphins, San Francisco 49'ers, San Diego Chargers, St. Louis Rams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Atlanta Falcons, New York Giants, Buffalo Bills, Houston Texans, Washington Redskins, Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, and the New Orleans Saints.
Golden Lions Head coach Monte Coleman says there are plenty of future NFL stars for these scouts to watch.
"I expect them to do well. Most of them have been away at camp. Camps have gone well. Terron Armstead, of course we saw him on national television a couple of weeks ago at the combine down in Indianapolis. He represented us well. But there are others. There's Bill Ross, Brandon Thermon and Jarvis Webb, all those guys are here in town and they should do well. So I'm excited to watch them run."
