JUDSONIA, Ark. (KTHV) - A 34-year-old Judsonia man is arrested and charged with stealing thousands of dollars worth of items from multiple homes in the area.

Bill Higginbotham with the White County Sheriff's Office said Johnny Whaley is charged in three residential burglaries that happened in February. The first reportedly happened Feb. 11 at a home on Highway 11 in which $12,000 worth of property was removed; another occurred Feb. 18 at a home on Highway 267 South, and the other took place on Feb. 20 at a residence on Highway 157 North in White County. Higginbotham said the total combined value of property removed from the latter homes is about $6,000.

Whaley was arrested in February on unrelated drug charges at a hotel in Searcy, and then later charged in the thefts. Tyler Coughlin, 27, of Bald Knob is also suspected and charged in the Highway 11 burglary. The White County Prosecutor's Office is handling the case; more charges are expected in this investigation.
