CONWAY, Ark. (AP) - The University of Central Arkansas has named UCA graduate and former administrator Kelley Erstine as the school's new chief of staff.
The announcement was made Wednesday by UCA President Tom Courtway.
Erstine replaces Jack Gillean - who resigned last June for undisclosed reasons. Gillean has since been charged with burglary and allegedly gave keys to a student who stole tests from professors' offices. He has pleaded not guilty.
Erstine graduated from UCA in 1979 with a journalism degree and later served as a member of the UCA Board of Trustees and as a UCA vice president.
He has worked since 2008 in North Carolina as chief executive officer of the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina.
