MALVERN, Ark. (KTHV) - A student's 'human interest' piece caused a stir in Malvern Wednesday.
According to school district attorney Mary Carole Crane, a studenttook an unloaded, antique gun to school to show off to their classmates as part of a human interest project.
Crane said none of the parents were notified of the case because the district cannot reveal disciplinary action against any student, and it's a private matter.
She did say the district took appropriate action in compliance with the policy handbook.
The age of the student has not been released.
