LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Gov. Mike Beebe has appointed a Monticello attorney to the University of Arkansas Board of Trustees.
Beebe's office announced Tuesday that 58-year-old Charles "Cliff" Gibson III will replace Mike Akin on the board. Gibson's 10-year term will expire March 1, 2023.
Gibson attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello and Mississippi State University. He received his law degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Gibson has worked at his own law firm in Monticello since 1981 and has previously been appointed as a special justice to the Arkansas Supreme Court by Beebe.
