The Komen Foundation also honored people who work with the breast cancer organization to positively impact Arkansans each day.
"The Komen organization has a very small staff so most of the work we do is driven by the volunteers who do our work for us," explained Sherrye McBryde, of the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Another $500,000 raised through October's Race for the Cure is being donated to breast cancer research.
THV 11 received an award at the luncheon, in recognition of being a race sponsor for 20 years.
