MORRILTON, Ark. (KTHV) -- Friday morning in Morrilton, students learned a lesson that is not often taught in school and is difficult to watch.

A mock DWI served a lesson that could save a life, and as students approach summer and prom season, they got a first had look at what can happen when you drink and drive.

Shane West is the chairman of the 100 Proof program and an investigator with the Conway County Sheriff's Office. He said just telling kids not to drink isn't enough.

"We know it's going to happen, and so our message today is to curb them from making that bad choice to get in a vehicle and drive after they have," he said.

This is the sixth year they've had the 100 Proof program in Conway.
