FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KTHV) - U of A architecture students visited the Argenta CDC Vestal Urban Farm Friday as part of a class project. These nine students are working to develop a master plan for the farm.
It's an opportunity for the students to have a direct impact on the design and learn first-hand about the benefits of urban agriculture.
Kelsey Johnston, a junior in landscape architecture, is looking forward to sharing her input.
"So, we're going to try to give them ideas on how to make this work as a site and make it more inviting and more educational. So we're designing it, more or less. Just making it a space that is just better than what it is now, and giving them ideas on how to make their dreams come true," Johnston said.
Students will present their designs in May at the University. At that time, the Argenta CDC staff will select the design that offers the best vision for the farm.
