LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- The Hot Springs Future Fund is a fresh and exciting approach to giving. It's mission is to provide today's young leaders with tools to impact their community.

Fund chair Jared Zeiser joined us with details on an upcoming event.

The HSFF started in 2010 by the Hot Springs Area Community Foundation and inspired by the Future Fund of Greensboro, NC with the mission to provide today's young visionaries and leaders with a means to impact their community through the giving of their pooled resources, talents and convictions. The concept of the Future Fund is to educate, engage, and inspire young leaders about philanthropy (giving).

The membership investments are annual and are tiered based on ages: Ages 20-29, $60 (single) or $100 (couple), Ages 30-39, $100 (single) or $150 (couple), Ages 40-49, $125 (single) or $200 (couple), Ages 50-55, $150 (single) or $250 (couple). Contributions are fully tax deductible. Professional managers hired by the Arkansas Community Foundation manage the money

Membership decides where grants are funded each year. The focus this year is for charities covering Education, Health, Arts, and Children/Youth. Nonprofit organizations in Hot Springs are eligible to apply for the Future Fund Grants. Past grant recipients include:

? Ouachita Children's Center
? Garland County CASA
? Samaritan Ministries
