PIKE COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) -Two people are sitting behind bars in Pike County on meth charges.
According to Clark D. Kinzler, an investigation into drug trafficking led police to Billy Fee and Valarie Babbit's hotel room on May 2. Authorities said they smelled a strong chemical odor when the pair answered the door.
Investigators seized more than 17 grams of meth in their hotel room. Deputies uncovered a bag of meth on Fee, 64, after a pat down, and a room search turned up drug paraphernalia and more meth.
Investigators then searched Fee's car, where they found meth sitting out in plain view.
Both Fee and Babbit, 35, were arrested and taken to the Pike County Jail, and both are being charged with possession of methamphetamine or cocaine with the purpose to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.
