LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Little Rock Police continue to investigate a double murder on 33rd Street after receiving a call around 11 a.m. Monday when a friend made a shocking discovery.

Crime scene tape marked off a whole block of 33rd Street in Little Rock. Neighbors, friends and family members helplessly stood by, watching a murder investigation unfold.

"We are working it as a double homicide. Our officers arrived on scene, and they did find two individuals down in the residence--a black male and black female," confirmed Sgt. Cassandra Davis with Little Rock Police.

Bobby Broadway, Jr., 40, and his girlfriend, 32-year-old Natasha Avery, were murdered inside the home they shared. Their bodies were found by their own friends.

"What we've been told is that they did have guests last night up until about twelve o'clock. Those guests then called to check on them or call them this morning. They were not able to get an answer, so they did come over. They found the door unlocked, and then they found the two victims inside the residence," explained Sgt. Cassandra Davis.

Broadway was found in the living room, and Avery was found in their bedroom. Both were shot to death. As several of their friends looked on, police towed away the victims' vehicles for evidence, hoping to find clues that will lead them to their killer.

Police also found several dogs at Broadway and Avery's home. Animal control came and picked up those animals. As for any suspects, police have not released any new leads.
