DESHA, Ark. (KTHV) - A man accused of killing his girlfriend's child has pleaded guilty.
According to Independence County prosecutor Don McSpadden, Jesse Holloman pleaded guilty to first-degree murder Wednesday and has been sentenced to 40 years for the murder. He will also serve six years for a drug possession charge, and each sentence will run consecutively.
In Nov. 2010, deputies said the child was in Holloman's care while the mother was at work. They said he told the mother that something happened to the child during the night and that he "had put her in the refrigerator."
However, police said the investigation later revealed that he had given the child a half bottle of Amoxicillin.
