LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Following an infectious disease scare, the Department of Health has reported that none of the patients who have received a blood test have gotten positive results.

Ed Barham with the Department of Health said 81 of the 85 people in question have been contacted in the search for the patients of Doctor William Jarrod Stewart, a dentist who recently died. The department was originally concerned that those 85 patients may have come in contact with an infectious disease and urged those patients to take a blood test.

Barham confirmed that of the 81 patients contacted, 62 have given blood samples, and all of the tests have returned negative.

The 4 patients who have not been contacted had moved and did not leave a forwarding address, but the State Police is helping to locate them, added Barham

At this point, Barham said that there's no reason for the public to be concerned about a health threat.
