ARKADELPHIA, Ark. (HSU) -- Henderson State outfielder Zac Zdanowicz was named to the Daktronics All-Central Region Second Team announced Thursday.

The team is voted on by the sports information directors from the Great American Conference, Northern Sun Conference and the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association.
Zdanowicz ranked third in the GAC in hitting finishing the year with a .397 batting average.

The senior center-fielder compiled 20 stolen bases and had a .471 on base percentage as Henderson's lead-off hitter. The Albuquerque, N.M. product led the Reddies in runs scored with 38, totaled 12 doubles and posted a 539 slugging percentage.

A unanimous first-team All-GAC selection, Zdanowicz had a streak of 25 games reaching base safely and reached base in 38 of 42 games played.

Zdanowicz is one of seven players from the GAC to earn All-Central Region honors. Southern Arkansas had four players selected including first-team pick James Baune, and second-team honorees David Harris, Jason Dahl, and Timothy Buchanan. Second baseman Cesar Abreu from Arkansas Tech was a first-team pick, while pitcher Shane Martin of Southwestern Oklahoma earned second-team honors.
