LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission has signed a 99-year lease for nearly 19,000 acres on the Maumelle River Wildlife Management Area.
The commission signed the $1 million lease Thursday with Central Arkansas Water.
The lease includes 9,861 acres of terrestrial habitat and the 9,000 acre Lake Maumelle. The area is known for its hunting, fishing, hiking and wildlife viewing opportunities.
