LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is changing their system to better accommodate the more than 250,000 veterans in Arkansas.

Lisa Breun with the VA's regional office said they will soon switch from paper files to an electronic system. That will help them tackle the claims that have been pending for more than a year.

"Employees have been working mandatory overtime, but they're willing to do this to get our veterans the benefits they deserve," she said.

If you are a veteran and have questions about benefits, go to www.ebenefits.va.gov.
