LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (The Honor Network) -- A national treasure to arrive in Little Rock for the 4th of July,then immediately head to Arizona to honor 19 fallen firefighters.
The United States Honor Flag will arrive from Miami this afternoon (July 3, 2013) on American Airlines flight 3008. Scheduled arrival time is 3:45 PM. Check AA.com for the most current arrival and gate info. The USHF is coming into Little Rock for the 4th of July events hosted by the William J. Clinton Presidential Center and Park. The flag will make a short connection in Dallas, then continue to Little Rock. Saturday the flag will head to Arizona while preparations are being made to honor 19 firefighters killed while battling a wild land fire. The fatality in Arizona is the largest loss of life since 9/11.
The USHF first flew during the recovery efforts at ground zero in New York City. Since then it has traveled more than 6 million miles. To over a thousand events to honor fallen firefighters, police officers and members of the United States Armed Forces.
This will be the second time the flag has been to the William J. Clinton Presidential Center and Park. First time was in 2009 for the 4th of July.
