HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - A 24-year-old woman has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to second-degree murder in the death of a Hot Springs man.
Stacy Tilson had been set to stand trial this week in last fall's death of James Moore. Prosecutors accused Tilson of deliberately running Moore over with her car.
TheSentinel Record reports that Tilson received the maximum sentence.
An affidavit says Moore broke a window during an argument at his girlfriend's house. The affidavit says Tilson was also at the home during the dispute and told authorities that the broken glass had cut her sister.
The affidavit alleges Tilson left the home, saw Moore walking and intentionally hit him. Tilson was originally arrested on a battery charge but that was upgraded after Moore died.
