LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Police say a man who was shot in the faceWednesdaynight in a shooting on Baseline Road is stable.

Police responded to west Baseline Road and I-40 about a shooting. When they arrived they found several people crowded around the victim, who was shot in the face.

The victim was taken to UAMS for treatment where a nurse said the bullet struck his skull, but he is stable.

There were four other people inside the truck at the time of the accident. Two of the passengers told police they were robbed earlier at the Enterprise Liquor Store by a man in a red Plymouth Neon. They say while riding with the victim, they saw the Neon, and drove closer to it to get a license plate. When the Neon suddenly slowed down, the truck drove around it.

When the truck passed the Neon, witnesses say that's when the passenger of the Neon opened fire, hitting the victim who was driving. The victim then lost control of the truck and hit a tree.

Right now police have not released any suspect information.
