LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (July 27, 2013) -- Beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday August 3 and ending at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday August 4, Arkansas will hold its sales tax holiday, allowing shoppers the opportunity to purchase certain school supplies and clothing free of state and local sales or use tax.

The Promenade at Chenal is celebrating the tax free holiday with their Back-To-School Bash starting at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 3.

Shoppers are encouraged to donate gently used school clothes and gear at the Goodwill drop-off located in The Promenade Courtyard from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"We're just asking for clothing gear, shoes, school clothes that don't fit anymore, they don't wear anymore, and then those items will be available in our stores," explains Rebecca Brockman with Goodwill. "You can find an almost complete outfit for five dollars."

The 1st 100 kids to the bash receive one free movie ticket to Chenal 9 Theatres,plus a FREE Maggie Moo's ice cream & complimentary lunch at Bravo!Cucina Italiana.
