RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (AP) - When students line up for their first meals at Arkansas Tech this semester, they'll find $8.7 million in renovations to the school's cafeteria.

The university said Monday that a major element of the redesign is greater convenience. The cafeteria has additional cashier stations and the renovated facility has a greater number of food options.

The cafeteria now includes a rotisserie, a hearthstone pizza oven, a Mongolian wok, a soup and salad bar, a grill serving hamburgers and hot dogs and other options.

Arkansas Tech students are to move into their dorms on Saturday and classes start on Aug. 28.

The cafeteria is decorated with food-themed art and has flat-panel television to display menus, messages and entertainment programming.
