RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - SAU men and women runners earn GAC weekly honors.

Freshman runner Brad Beckham has been named as the Great American Conference Male Runner of the Week as it was announced by the league office on Wednesday.

Beckham, a native of Gilmer, Texas, earned the nod after he placed second individually in the UT-Tyler Invitational over the past weekend. In his collegiate runner debut, Beckham crossed the finish line with a time of 16:18.14.

Beckham nearly came away with the individual win as he finished just over a second behind the event winner. His second place finish, however, helped lead the Muleriders to a second-place team finish in the UT-Tyler Invitational.

The weekly conference honor is Beckham's first of his career.
Southern Arkansas junior runner Carli Langley has been named as the Great American Conference Female Runner of the Week as it was announced by the league office on Wednesday.

Langley earns the weekly conference honor after she was the top individual finisher in the UT-Tyler Invitational over the past weekend.

In her first official race of the season, Langley crossed the finish line with a time of 19:28.40. Her finishing time was 18 seconds faster than the next individual finisher.

Lagnley's top individual finish helped pace the Lady Muleriders to the team win in the invitational.

The conference weekly honor is the first in her career for Langley.
