LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Senator John Boozman made a tour of Little Rock Friday morning, stopping at three locations in the area.
Boozman started his morning at the Arkansas Rice Depot, which recently received 124,000 pounds of rice from the Arkansas Rice industry. Boozman, a co-chair of the Senate Hunger Caucus, visited the facility to help raise awareness about the hunger problem in Arkansas.
From there, he visited the Arkansas Food Bank to also help get attention for the struggle that many Arkansans face with hunger.
His last stop Friday was at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock to attend the Unmanned Aerial Systems Event. Boozman explored the possibilities of using unmanned aerial systems (drones) to create jobs in Arkansas for training, manufacturing, agriculture, forestry, or other opportunities.
