STAR CITY, Ark. (KTHV) - Former linebacker Zack Towers returned for the first time to Star City for the bulldogs football game against Camden Harmony Grove.
Zack's father Jim says words can't express how the community's support continues to uplift the family.
"I still get asked all the time when I'm up town, how's Zack? How's Zack? Which is wonderful that people still care," he said.
Every week, the team has remembered Zack's presence on the field as the player of the week dons the number 16 and puts on the honorary helmet.
The 19-year-old collapsed last November after bleeding in the brain caused a seizure. THV 11's Dustin Wilson reports from Towers' homecoming.
