FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (Univ. of Ark.) - The University of Arkansas men's tennis team will open the 2013 fall season at the SEC Fall Coaches Championship hosted by Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. The tournament will begin Thursday and will run through the weekend.
The entire team will be present at the tournament, playing as singles and in doubles pairings.

Mike Nott and Manfred Jeske, recently ranked No. 9 in the ITA preseason doubles poll, will play as the tournament's No. 3 seed. The pair qualified for last year's NCAA Tournament and advanced to the Round of 16 before falling to the No. 3 seed.
"We are excited to get started," head coach Andy Jackson said. "It's great for us to start in an SEC event with quality competition. We need confidence, and this event is certainly a good opportunity to earn some."

Singles play will begin at 7 AM Thursday and doubles matches will begin later in the day at noon.
