UNDATED (CNN) -- A new species of legless lizards has been discovered living near a runway at Los Angeles International Airport.

Its species name is Anniella stebbinsi. The yellow-bellied lizard that looks like a snake is named after herpetologist Robert C. Stebbins.

The animal is just one of four new species of legless lizards recently found living in California.

The findings are all discussed in this week's Journal Breviora.
