TULSA, Okla. (Univ. of Ark.) - The University of Arkansas doubles pair of Manfred Jeske and Mike Nott advanced to the quarterfinal round Saturday at the ITA Central Regional Championship.

Jeske and Nott, the tournament's No. 1 seed, took down Minnesota's Eric Freuh and Leandro Toledo 8-6 in the round of 16, moving to 2-0 on the weekend. Doubles action will begin again Sunday at 10 a.m.

The Razorbacks also saw success in the singles consolation bracket, winning five matches. Senior Hall Fess first defeated Franz Sydow of Minnesota (1-6, 7-5, (8)), before eliminating Drake's Ben Mullins, 6-3, 3-6, (6). Sophomore Santiago Munoz beat Beau Treyz of Nebraksa before falling to his freshman teammate Johan den Toom 6-4, 2-6, (4). Den Toom was also victorious against Bradley's Ashton Kalhorn 6-4, 6-2. Consolation play will resume Sunday at 2 p.m.
