LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) --Special Olympics Arkansas is hosting their annual Charity Olive Hour event on Thurs., Oct. 24, from 6 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
This event has more than 350 silent auction items, including jewelry, trips, paintings, restaurant gift cards and more, plus 10 live auction items. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.
The best part is that all the proceeds benefit Special Olympics Arkansas, whose mission is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic type sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
Camie Powell with Special Olympics Arkansas and volunteer Gary Curtis joined THV's Alyse Eady on "THV 11 This Morning" to talk more.
