LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -Authorities fished a stolen car out of the Arkansas River Tuesday morning.

Sgt. Brian Dedrick with NLRPD says the call came in about an unoccupied boat with lights on in the Arkansas Riverbetween the I-430 bridge and Cook's Landing.

Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, Little Rock police, and MEMS responded and learned at the scene it was a car in the river upside down.

The Little Rock Fire Dept. is responding with their water rescue crew.

Later during their investigation, authorities learned the car was unoccupied and had been reported stolen out of Sherwood.

THV 11 has a crew at the scene and we will update this story as we get more information.
